Los BAFTA, los premios de la academia de cine británica, han anunciado que Luke Evans y Helen McCrory serán los encargados de desvelar las nominaciones el próximo 8 de enero, el mismo día que se cierra el plazo para elegir los candidatos al Oscar.

La entrega de premios tendrá lugar el 16 de febrero, por novena vez será conducida por Stephen Fry, y se celebrará de nuevo en el Royal Opera House de Covent Garden (Londres).

El anuncio de los nominados se podrá ver en directo a través de bafta.org a las 7:35 am. De todas formas ya se actualizará aquí.

Los premios se transmitirán en exclusiva en la BBC One y BBC One HD, precedido por un espectáculo de la alfombra roja en BBC Three.

Gravity y Philomena enfrentándose para mejor película británica. Creo que Gravity ganará esta batalla, aunque no he visto Philomena y me gustaría verla antes de ser categórico.

Siempre me ha llamado la atención que en los premios británicos se admitan producciones tan norteamericanas como 'Capitán Phillips' o 'Gravity'. Es como si en España hubieran nominado al Goya a mejor película a 'La Vida de Adèle'.

Siempre me ha llamado la atención que en los premios británicos se admitan producciones tan norteamericanas como 'Capitán Phillips' o 'Gravity'. Es como si en España hubieran nominado al Goya a mejor película a 'La Vida de Adèle'.

Bueno, pero es que en el fondo son como los Oscar británicos. Y además, Gravity, en su mayoría, se rodó en estudios británicos, aunque la pasta fuese americana.

La única categoría equiparable a los Goya es Mejor Película Británica. El resto es como una contraposición a los Oscar. Es más, las películas que pueden ser premiadas con el BAFTA pueden haberes sido estrenadas en UK en finales de enero, principios de febrero. Es para que las películas que puedan estar nominadas a los Oscar también estén en los BAFTA.

Imagino, pero no deja de resultar chocante y cuestionable. También Ridley Scott está rodando en España 'Exodus' y no por ello el año que viene se llevará el Goya a los mejores efectos especiales...

Según el tiff (Toronto International Film Festival) la película es una película tanto británica como americana. Igual que También La Lluvia es una colaboración entre Méjico, España y Francia. Así que está justificada la nominación de Gravity como mejor película británica.

Yo ví ya Behind the Candelabra, y lo hace muy bien, pero me sorprende que consiga él la nominación y no Michael Douglas (que lo hace incluso mejor).
